Your introduction should state the purpose of your research, give relevant background information, provide any necessary definitions, and provide an outline of how your argument will be organized throughout the research paper. Notice that there is no extra spacing between the paragraphs or sections. The major components of your paper (abstract, body, primary research analysis, references, and appendices) each begin on a new page. These components begin with centered headings at the top of the first page. Your papers should be divided into a number of sections depending on the number of points that you will discuss. The section title should be provided at the start of every section. Sections can have subsections with headings. All section headings should be bold, but no additional spacing is required.
