I decided to elaborate on the topic of drug use and social justice within our country. Drug use is one of the largest problem that society is facing in the criminal justice system. This poison is so severe and hard to overcome, especially if an individual has a recent connection with it. There are many rehabilitation programs available to those whose life seems to be meaningless which has led to committing crime which has made them become very familiar with the criminal justice system. We are not here to judge those individuals who has an addiction and commits hideous crimes. We are offering a support system to help overcome these transitions they are facing. Rehabilitation is what every addict deserves which should be the first option, to free themselves from drug addiction and crime and just maybe the economy can once again be stabilized.
There are many programs that are offered ad considered to help vaporize drug use such as; AA, boot camps, drug rehabilitation and etc. These programs are in place to help addicts re-enter back into society and live a productive life. These programs are beneficial to most but not all, it depends on their eagerness to overcome these addictions. Even though these programs exist, society may fear that these addicts participate simply because possibility of facing jail time.
The overall discussion of this paper is the importantance operation and capabilities of the criminal justice system, the effect it has on society and the restoration of social justice.
