For this assignment, choose an event, issue or individual that you think is historically significant from Chapter 2 of Building the American Republic and craft a post about why you think this topic is historically significant. Peers in your discussion group are reading the same information as you. Your post should analyze/reflect/discuss what you learned and specifically why the topic you chose is historically significant. Please review the directions below, the sample posts on the previous page, and the attached rubric before posting.Directions: Each initial post must be at least 300 words. Each initial post must have a topic sentence typed at the top of the response. This topic sentence should give your classmates the "thesis" of your response, indicating which topic/document you are writing about and the main idea of your post. This is not a title for your response, and should not repeat the title of the textbook section/document. The words in the topic sentence do not count toward the 300 word total. Each initial post should introduce your topic and discuss your analysis of historical significance.Do not repeat information your peers have already posted on or discussed! Rasmussen College Humanities: Visual Arts Written Assignment
Humanities – Visual Art Part 1 Competency Develop a vocabulary for criticizing, evaluating, and describing works of art. For this assessment task, you are asked to act as an art critic and analyze a series of works. When art critics discuss art, they describe art works in terms of style and medium. Art critics interpret meanings of art and make judgements of a work's validity to the importance of a piece in the larger context of art history and culture. Art critics also evaluate art in the context of aesthetics. Please watch the presentation below as a refresher on this deliverable’s content. The presentation will not tell you everything you need to know to pass this test-out, but it should serve as a refresher. Assessment 2 PPT Part 2 Competency Formulate, express, and support individual perspectives on diverse works and issues. For this assessment task, you are asked to act as a critic for one of the various subjects under the umbrella of the subject Humanities. Through a series of critiques, you will be demonstrating your background knowledge on these subjects and the themes studied in the Humanities. In general, a critic evaluates a work or piece based on a common language of a subject. For example, certain terminology is used in the film industry for aesthetic, whereas other terminology is used in architecture. Aside from a common language of art, each subject usually includes a history of influence-how a work was influenced by other works and how a work influence aspects of today's art and culture. Critics use this common body of history and aesthetic to offer critiques, or judgements on the validity of the importance of aesthetic (it's representation of beauty). Please watch the video below (02:33 - 16:32) as a refresher on this deliverable's content. The video will not tell you everything you need to know to pass this test-out, but it should serve as a refresher. https://rasmussen-kanopystreaming-com.ezproxy.rasmussen.edu/video/humanities-approach-living-modern-world

When do you think it is right to start having sexual relationships--under what circumstances and with whom? Where do you think your ideas come from? Do you feel comfortable describing your values to others? Would you like to be involved in a long-term relationship someday? If so, when? If you are currently involved in such a relationship, is it something that you always imagined you would have?Do you want to have children? If so, when and how many ? How would you feel if you found out you couldn't have children? What are your major priorities and goals at this time? How would a sexual relationship fit in with these priorities and goals?
