Thankyou

The number of exam questions per chapter will be approximately:

Chapter 14 -- 9 questions

Chapter 15 -- 11 questions

Chapter 16 -- 5 questions

For the exam, you will need to be able to interpret regression output. From the output, know

1) How to write the regression equation.

2) Interpret what the variable coefficients mean. Looking at a coefficient figure, how does a change in that independent variable affect the dependent variable?

3) How to identify the 'significant' independent variables from a multiple regression output.

4) How to find the best set of variables (the best Model) of a Best Subsets regression.

5) Run a simple regression in Excel to obtain values like the R2, t-stat and p-value.

6) How to run a multiple regression in XLStat to check for multicollinearity (see Outputs menu) and first-order autocorrelation (see DW in Goodness of Fit ouput).

7) How to find and interpret the confidence interval and prediction interval.

8) How to interpret the ANOVA statistics. How many degrees of freedom are there? What is the sample size? How many independent variables are there? What is the R2 ?
