Explanation & Answer

Agents of socialization are people, groups of people, or institutions in which socialization (the process by which people learn cultural norms, social interactions, and social expectations) takes place. Some important and notable agents include a person's family, school, friends, and the media he/she is exposed to.

Types of social movements include those that aim to change individuals (eg., rehab for alcoholics) and those that aim to change on a larger societal level (eg., anti globalization). Out of those social movements, some aim to make radical changes, and some advocate minor changes.

The states in social movements are

Emerge > Coalesce > Bureaucratize > Become successful, fail, get repressed, or go mainstream > decline

The problem with social movements is that the delineation between stages is hard to find, because many of them don't have a well defined goal or purpose. Sometimes, they evolve to become something other than their original purpose (see political action committees), and thus their success is hard to identify.
