Waldorf University American Yawp Test Questions
attached is just an example. you must use TURABIAN citation!!UNTEST American Yawp, Chapter 26, 27, 28, 29, 30This is an open note/material/resource assignment. You may discuss all you want about the Unit through Piazza, but this assignment is to be your own original work. All unit Untests will utilize the following format.PART I. MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS – 20 points totalIn this section, you must create FOUR quality multiple choice questions over the basic facts of the unit. Create questions over key pieces of historical fact that are the most important for the overall understanding of unit materials. Questions can be over concepts, ideas, people, places, events, etc. The question should be meaningful and not a “gotcha” or trick question to see how close someone read. Your correct and incorrect answers should be clearly identified (you should have a minimum of 4 answers per question) and a test taker should have to stop and consider the answers carefully.Once you have crafted your four question and provided four answers to choose from (identify your correct answer), you must then explain the question. Why did you think this question was important enough to be on your imaginary exam? Why is the correct answer correct and the incorrect answers wrong? Why did you choose the answers that you did? Do this for each of the four questions.II. KEY ID – 20 pointsIn this section, you must create ONE ID for a test. IDs are key people, places, events, or concepts (so “George Washington” or “trickle-down economics” for example). For each ID you will provide a sample answer (explaining the who/what, where, when, and why it is important). After providing your ID and sample answer, you will then need to explain why you chose this ID for the list, what makes it so key that it should appear on your imaginary test?III. CONNECTIONS – 20 pointsA connection is just that, an explanation of how two or more historical facts fit together. Here is a non-history example that will give you an idea of what is expected:Fact 1: Men’s College football teams at the NCAA I FBS level can award a maximum of 85 scholarships to playersFact 2: The US Women’s National Team has just won the World Cup for the 4th time and has played in 5 of the 8 Women’s World Cup finals and US National Women’s Teams dominate Olympic competitions (Soccer, Softball, Ice Hockey, Volleyball, Rowing, Water Polo).Connection: Title IX (of the Educational Amendments of 1972) legislation requires gender equity in both the classroom and school related activities at both the K-12 and collegiate level. At the time Title IX became law, women’s sports in schools and colleges was often underfunded or non-existent while men’s college football (and high school football in states like Texas) had money thrown at them. The law requires that men and women have proportional access to athletic scholarships at the collegiate level. Since most NCAA I level universities field large men’s football teams, they needed to field teams in women’s sports to remain in proportional compliance (you have to offset those 85 male players somehow). Therefore, high schools and colleges began fielding teams in quite a few different sports to be in compliance with Title IX and more American women began playing team sports. Today, the national averages are 1 in every 2.5 women play a sport in high school. The best of these female athletes now go on to play college sports, and national teams are pulled from the best of college athletes. Women have come to dominate Olympic Team Sports because American women have gender equity in team sports in high schools and colleges thanks to Title IX; few other countries have gender equity in sporting opportunities, particularly at the team level, for girls through schools and fewer girls play team sports in other parts of the world. For this part of the Untest, I want you to make ONE connections from the time period covered in the unit. The facts should be different facts (not two sides of an issue, battle, debate, etc.) that may not seemingly be connected, but are. List the two historical facts and then explain the connection.IV. Geographic Connections – 20 pointsA geographic connection is similar to the connections above, except that at least one of the facts is related to geography, climate, or environment. (Remember the discussion of how geography and history are related). You need to make 1 geographic connectionsV. Overall Takeaway – 20 pointsThis is an “un-essay.” Instead of giving you a prompt and having you write a full-length essay, I want you to sit back and think about the unit as a whole. What are your key takeaways (these are the most important overall themes of the units)? How would you explain these most important “big picture” concepts of American history? How would you explain this in a paragraph (think of this as a two-minute elevator speech on US History to someone who knows nothing about the subject).Note that your paragraph (which should be 100-200 words) should follow rule of three formatting and contain a thesis statement and supporting evidence.

Evaluating Test Outcomes
Test use in an organization can have both positive and negative outcomes. A test can help an organization to make better hiring, promotion, and placement decisions, but testing can also lead to negative consequences, including incorrect selection, overemphasis of tested characteristics, and an undesirable level of employee uniformity. Many of the unintended consequences of testing occur because tests are less than perfect instruments. Test use can produce both false positives and false negatives. For instance, test results might lead to selection of an unqualified applicant or rejection of someone who would perform well at a job.Tests also can have biases, with at least part of the score attributable to factors that have little to do with the prediction of job performance. Some people may be good at figuring out the “right” answers on a test, but their skill at test taking may not translate into superior job performance. Cultural differences, language differences, and disabilities may negatively affect test scores without representing actual job-related deficits.Even if it were possible to find a test that selects individuals perfectly, overuse of a test for personnel selection could lead to homogeneity in the workforce and reduce the diversity and balance that potentially generates creativity and enhances the organizational culture. Finally, there is a possibility for tests to take on a life of their own, with favorable test performance becoming a more important goal than work performance. This overemphasis on testing can lead to cheating, faking, and a focus on factors measured by tests to the exclusion of other more relevant job goals.Taking these considerations into account, think about how you would evaluate the outcomes of test use in organizations. With these thoughts in mind:Post by Day 4 a 3-4 paragraph description of how you would evaluate the intended and unintended outcomes of test use in an organization. Explain what you would expect to find.Be sure to support your postings and responses with specific references.

Be sure to include the following:Performer’s or ensemble’s name, date and location Performance Medium (such as piano recital, orchestral concert, opera, symphony concert, etc.)52.Section/Paragraph Two: Make a table with three columns listing all pieces in the order they were played (include any encores as well).Column 1: Composition TitleColumn 2: Composer's full name followed by birth and death year in parenthesis. The composer is not always the performer. The composer writes the music; the performer is who is executing it.Column 3: Composition Style (musical era). This should correspond to the dates when the compositions were written and musical era during which the composer lived. For this class the style periods are as follows:Medieval (450-1450)Renaissance (1450-1600)Baroque (1600-1750)Classical (1750-1820)Romantic (1820-1900)Contemporary (1900-present day)Example of Paragraph Two Column:Composition TitleComposer (birth year – death year)Composition Style (Musical Era)The ErlkingFranz Schubert (1797-1828)RomanticSymphony No. 40 W. If you view a concert with 20 songs being sung, list all 20 and give a description of each, including the performer(s). If you are viewing an orchestral concert with a symphony containing four movements as one of the works, describe each movement of the symphony, etc. A few descriptive qualities to analyze include:the character and overall musical style of the piece (is it a vocal/instrumental solo, part of a larger orchestral work, etc.?)the emotion or mood of the piecethe tempo and dynamic level (is it fast, slow, moderate in tempo; Is it a monumentally loud piece or several dynamic changes from loud to soft? Elaborate!)length of the piece (is it a solo piece, multi-movement, excerpt from an opera?)For full credit, writing should be clear and eloquent, with no significant errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure.Be sure to organize this section with an efficient and appropriate listing of music performed (in other words, do not group 20 song descriptions into one large paragraph).504. Section/Paragraph Four: Describe the concert environment. Include the following:A description of the physical layout of the performance hall or venue. Be sure to include the audience seating or standing in relation to the performers. The clothing of the performers. Describe what people are wearing. If the men and women have slightly different clothing, note that information. The clothing and behavior of the audience members (if visible in the video). Was this a casual outdoor concert on lawn, a grand amphitheater, etc.? Be descriptive.155. Section/Paragraph Five: Write a paragraph describing your general reaction to the concert. Be sure to include:Insight about your own experience going to concerts and whether you enjoyed your selected concert. Would you have liked to have been a member of the audience instead of being a "virtual" viewer? Was the concert what you expected? What was your reaction to the music performed?

Be sure to include:Insight about your own experience going to concerts and whether you enjoyed your selected concert. Would you have liked to have been a member of the audience instead of being a "virtual" viewer? Was the concert what you expected? What was your reaction to the music performed?
