Question Description
If you think children who eat pencils are the only ones in danger of lead poisoning, think again. The Federal Drug Administration warns against lead-foil wrappings on wine or champagne bottles. When the wrap is peeled off, lead residue on the rim is poured into your glass along with the wine. One glass of wine will not cause immediate poisoning, but the metal builds up in the body and, over years, can lead to nervous system damage.
