1988 D21 Nissan Navara 2WD, Z20S Engine, Brake Booster Discussion

Question description

whilst releasing the brake pedal the engine coughs, if i continuously pump the pedal the engine stalls completely after 6-7 applications... I have taken the hose of the booster and heard the vacuum release so next I removed the other three hoses off the check valve coming off the booster hose the valve appears to be functioning correctly... i have the repair manual but does not have any thing in it related to the connection between the  booster and intake manifold i had a feeling the check valve was my culprit but now im not so sure definitely sounds like the booster is stealin air off the engine when the brake is released, could the fuel pump pressure or venturie be related in any way to cause this?
