MARRIAGE THERAPY 1 The topic that I have selected is Marriage Therapy also known as couple counseling, it is a type of psychotherapy. The point of marriage counseling is to help the couples recognize and resolve conflicts to be able to better their relationship. I chose this as my selection because even when I was a teen my friends would always come to me for advice with relationship issues. With my help they seem to see their problem and fix it or realize that, that was not the relationship for them. Also with me getting married at the age of 20, my husband and I have had to overcome some very big obstacles to get to the place we are now (happy.) We been through a lot and both feel that if we can get through it we can also help others. I want to see the divorce rate do down instead of rising.
