Question Description

I don’t understand this Physics question and need help to study.

A 46 kg block slides along the top of a 170 kg block with an acceleration of 5 m/s 2 while a horizontal force of 344 N is applied. There is no friction between the 170 kg block and a horizontal frictionless surface, but there is friction between the two blocks. The acceleration of gravity is 9.81 m/s^2.

Find the coefficient of kinetic friction between the blocks.

Find the acceleration of the 170 kg block during the time that the 46 kg block remains in contact. Answer in units of m/s 2 .
