MA 240 Ashworth Probability for Sample of 100-Coin Tosses Report
Probability Report Worksheet
Directions: Complete the probability report worksheet to help you with your calculations to create the APA report.
1. Choose one of the three scenarios:
Probability of obtaining heads on a coin toss
Probability of rolling a 2 on a 6-sided die.
Probability of drawing a Jack from a deck of cards.
2. Calculate the theoretical probability for your chosen scenario. Show all work! Remember probability is the number of ways you can achieve the desired outcomes divided by the total number of outcomes. Then calculate the theoretical probability of your chosen scenario NOT happening. Ex: What is the probability of “Not Heads”? What is the probability of “Not rolling a 2”, etc.
3. Complete 100 trials for your chosen scenario. Example: Flip a coin 100 times and record the outcome, roll a die 100 times and record the outcome, choose a card from a deck (with replacement) 100 times.
4. Create a table in Microsoft Word here and record your data.
5. Using the table you created in number 4, what is the experimental probability for your chosen scenario?
6. Using the table you created in number 4, what is the experimental probability for NOT achieving your chosen scenario? Example: What is the probability of “Not Heads”? What is the probability of “Not rolling a 2”, and so on.
7. Does your theoretical probability match your experimental probability?
8. Complete research on WHY your probabilities might not match or why they might match. *Be sure to cite your source*
9. Using the concepts learned this week, what do you think would happen if you did 1,000 trials? *Be sure to cite your reading or lecture*

M7 Assignment: Probability
Probability Report
The probability of an event can be determined in theory as well as in practice. In this project, you will use the formulas and methods in your readings to determine the theoretical probability. You will then conduct an experiment to see if the outcomes match what you expect to find with the theoretical probability.
In this project you will:
be able to calculate and interpret probability
be able to analyze and compare theoretical and experimental probabilities
To complete this project you will:
Complete the Probability Report Worksheet to guide you in writing your APA report. Be sure to show all work!
Complete a 2-page, double-spaced, APA-formatted report. In the report you need to present your findings and explain your conclusions on experimental and theoretical probability. Thoughts to include in the report include: How are theoretical and experimental probability different? Why might the theoretical probability not match the experimental probability?

K-Means Clustering and Logistic Regression Paper
What is "k-means clustering," and how might it help healthcare administration leaders in their health services organization? One of the more common methods of clustering is the use of k-means, where "k" is the number of clusters that are meant to describe the population of interest. For example, what if you were interested in segmenting patients based on satisfaction levels? K-means clustering could be used in the same way to help describe this given population. This technique might assist leaders in determining what characteristics need to be considered in order to study crime and unemployment. In striving to address the problem, k-means clustering is an effective tool for leadership to consider. For this Assignment, review the resources for this week, and examine the k-means clustering approach. Reflect on how you might apply this approach to an issue or challenge in a health services organization. Then, complete the problems for the Assignment. The Assignment: (3–5 pages) Complete Problem 21 on page 938 of your course text. Note: You will need to complete a logistic regression, as well as a k-means cluster analysis, using SPSS. By Day 7 Submit your answers and embedded analysis as a Microsoft Word management report.

Their work showed the same calculation error at an early step. So, do your own work, and do nothing to make me suspicious. If you suspect that you have found an error, please contact me.Page 10 has a table of chi-squared critical values. It was copied and pasted directly from lecture.Pages 12–16 have tables for you to show your work calculating means, variances, and chi-square statistics. If you do not have a printer, then you can hand-write each the tables in a few minutes. I strongly recommend that you print the exam and show your work. If you use software to complete the calculations, then print your output. When the tables are filled in, use a scanner – an actual scanner or an app on your phone, such as Genius Scan to turn the pages into a PDF that you can upload and/or email.Page 17 has a table of t* critical values at the 95% confidence level. You can also use any table posted on Blackboard, shown in the lectures, or printed in a textbook. However, this table I provided has two advantages: it shows all degrees of freedom from 1 to 212, and it is precise to four decimal points.
