10 page Peer-Reviewed Paper (Library Assignment): Peer-reviewed journal articles are scholarly journals which require that an article undergo an extensive evaluation process by noted individuals in that given field of study before the article is deemed worthy of publication. Given the overabundance of non-peer-reviewed sources (i.e. newspapers, magazines, trade publications etc.) it is important for you as college students to develop the ability to identify and critically evaluate peer-reviewed journal articles. This is particular important in the area of criminal justice studies. Each student will complete a 10 page peerreviewed research article project worth 100 pts. The project will consist of the identification and analytical discussion of 5 peer-reviewed research articles found through your university library addressing a topic found in your textbook, you the student pick the topic but it must be applicable to this class. The project is to be a minimum of 10 pages in length (cover page and reference sections do not count toward page length requirement. Make sure your articles are peerreviewed article before turning it in, failure to use a “peer-reviewed” article will result in failure
