a) What are the major differences in the processes that shape Venus' and Earth's surfaces? Explain why that might be.

b) Venus is lacking small impact craters. It's surface only harbours medium sized and larger craters. What could be the cause of this? Explain.

c) In spite of Venus being Earth's closest neighbor and having observed Venus through optical telescopes for hundreds of years, why didn't we learn about what surface features it had until the Magellan probe went into orbit around it in 1994? Explain.
