Part 3: Identify your one-, two-, and five-year career goals, create a list of possible employers of choice in your career field (minimum 3), possible job titles for your one-, two-, and five-year goals (one for each goal), and current salary ranges for those job titles. (20 POINTS) MY LEARNINGS I learned to be aggressive, but professional at the same time. I learned not to wait to be noticed, but to ensure that my problem solving is noted and should ask for raise, instead of waiting for the raise to be offered. I also learned to be more aggressive in “asking for the job”, should do directly to the person in charge, who makes the hiring decisions. I also learned that Emotions play a big part in both the selling and hiring processes. People buy (or hire) for emotional reasons; the product fulfills a need or desire they have. Overall, my mind was still thinking when experience got someone the job required, not realizing that in today’s world, you must sell yourself and prove your capability in doing the job required. Basically, I should not wait to be called in for the interview, I should call the person in charge of hiring and sell myself and why I should be hired for the job I desire. 3 Grading Rubric: Self-Assessment Component Points Part 1: Award full credit if all sections meet minimum requirements.
