Question Description

The following is the feedback given by professor.

Aj, you successfully completed the assignment for Week 3 and will receive credit for fulfilling all requirements. There are, however, a number of APA formatting errors as well as improvements needed in writing clarity, capitalization, and grammar.Week 4 will be a little more challenging so please read through the graded document carefully and make any necessary corrections or revisions before submitting this week's paper.

Good academic writing should only say what needs to be said. Adding extraneous words dilute the focus and meaning of the paper. Eliminate wordiness and write with simple clarity. Be deliberate in your word choices, making certain that every word means exactly what you intend.

1 Google+ Vs. Other Social Networking Sites Institution affiliation Student’s name Course name Date 2 Google+ Vs. Other Social Networking Sites Introduction Today, social networking sites have increased in number, having some with better features than others. For instance, one can prefer a specific social networking site due to the elements the site has. In other words, different social networking sites come with features that favor some purpose compared to others. Google+ is a social networking site that incorporates different elements from various social networking platforms, some being an improvement, enabling it to serve its purpose (Mohamad, Ghazali, & Hashim, 2018). The following is a comparison between Google+ and other social networking platforms. Comparison between Google+ and Facebook First, Google+ differs from Facebook in that it has the Circles feature where one can share information with the intended people (Curran, Morrison, & Mc Cauley, 2012). For instance, when one wants to make plans with family, they create a group where they add the people they intend to share the information with. Facebook requires custom settings for this, and unless you modify the settings, there is no limitation to whom one shares information with. Also, with Google+, it is easier to know what people are saying or when they make mentions of someone. Through a single website in Google, one can see what others are 3 saying. Unless you are logged-in to Facebook or enabled notifications, it is not easy to know when one is talking or mentions someone. Although these two platforms differ, they share some features, including a personal profile (Rajaguru & Ganegoda, 2017). One has to create a profile page describing who one is or generalized information about oneself. Then, one can make connections with people in the network by sharing information. Another similarity is the recent feature by Facebook, group chat, which almost works the same as Google+ Circles, which allows sharing information with a specific group of people. Comparison between Google+ and Twitter Google plus and Twitter share some similarities in that both are unidirectional networks (Agrawal & Singhal, 2019, April). A unidirectional network means that one can only send or receive information at a time but not both. A message can be sent to different destinations but cannot be sent back to the sender. Just to mention, this has attracted users resulting in the rapid growth of the networking site. Also, both sites allow image sharing, which is a feature that increases engagement of the content of the message. In google+, this feature has more weight since most interaction is business-oriented. On the other hand, Google+ differs from Twitter since it has the Circles feature, which reduces or blocks unnecessary information from people. It gives one a choice of whom 4 to share information with through grouping them rather than having unnecessary information. Another contrasting feature is that Google+ has no limitation on character length, unlike Twitter, which limits the characters that can be input, with Twitter having around 150 while Google+ has up-to 1000 characters. Although Twitter has great feeds, there is a limit on the length of characters. The feature allows engagement in discussions in Google+ without limitation of characters, making it suitable for engaging in lengthy discussions. 5 References: Agrawal, T., & Singhal, A.
