ANY information learned from ANY source, even when written in your own words, requires an in-text citation.

Approximately 85% or more of sentences will have an in-text citation because information should be based upon research. The direct quotes in an academic paper should be limited to 1 per page. Direct quotes should have proper quotation marks and an in-text citation. Avoid using "John Doe states" when doing a direct quote, make sure the direct quote fits the topic and remember to keep them at a bare minimum.

Please remember the goal is for you to show an understanding of the information by writing in your own words, but that means in-text citations should still be used
