Consider the land in your area. Do you think the soil is depleted? If so, how did it get that way? If not, how was it protected?
Explanation & Answer
Since I live in a rural area, I do not believe that the land in my area is depleted. Farmers have worked on this land for a few hundred years, and are still working on it and producing the same amount, if not more than when first started. The farmland is protected by the many Land protection agencies that we have in the state.
