**Question description**

Rob is calculating the area of a rectangle. His strategy is to multiply the whole numbers first and then multiply the fractions. Since 3x5=15 and 1/3x1/4=1/12, he concludes that the area of the rectangle is 15 1/12 square feet. Is he correct? Why or why not?

NOTE: The length of the rectangle is 3 1/3 feet and the width is 5 1/4 feet.
