Internal Process
Internal processes of a company contribute to the company's overall effectiveness. Identifying ways to improve internal processes helps build a highly efficient organization. Root causes need to be identified. Methods to identify root causes may require substantial analysis or be apparent based on a major problem within the organization. For example, review the assigned article, "Inside Chipotle's Contamination Crisis: Smugness and Happy Talk About Sustainability Aren't Working Anymore," from Bloomberg Businessweek. Research several other sources regarding Chipotle's food contamination crisis. Create a flowchart of the original supply chain and how Chipotle supplies each of the restaurant chains. Provide your own commentary. Create another flowchart that suggests a new way to supply the restaurant chains.Review another restaurant chain that does not currently have a major public problem but would benefit from evaluating its manufacturing process to improve competitiveness. Specifically, provide recommendations on how to improve the company's current supply chain. Create a flowchart to illustrate your recommendations. Provide a summary of how you came to your recommendations. Include any formal strategies and informal thought processes you used to reach your conclusions. Provide rationale for either using or not using Six Sigma methodology, ISO quality benchmarking, lean supply chain processes, or TQM.Submit all three flowcharts and commentary for each flowchart in a single document. Provide three to five resources to support your response. While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. This assignment uses a rubric. Ethics and Professional Responsibility: Sochi Olympics case study – Considering the PMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct. Project managers are expected to abide by the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct established by the Project Management Institute (PMI). But sometimes the decision to do so is difficult. There are situations where executives in the company you work for, or external stakeholders, may act in an immoral or unethical manner for either personal gain or company gain. Although you, as a project manager, may not personally act in this unprofessional manner, you may be drawn into it by decisions made by the company’s hierarchy. What if you like the company you work for and do not want to leave? What if you had no knowledge that this behavior was happening until well into the project? What if you are asked to be part of this behavior while managing a project? What if this behavior is forced on you by the stakeholders after the project begins? Assume you are the project manager employed by a company in the private sector. Your company has one or more contracts for venues at the Olympic Games. You have been assigned to manage one of the projects and believe that there may be some corruption that could directly involve you in the future. As an example, an IOC official asks you to help her scalp tickets to some events with the promise that she will share the profits with you. What should you do? You have been assigned to manage one of the projects. Partway through the project, your senior management informs you that you must request (without any real justification) more money from the OCOG because one member of the OCOG wants a larger kickback. What should you do? Partway through your project, one of the government stakeholders tells you that the government will pay you only 75 percent of the remaining cost, and the other 25 percent will be withheld as a kickback. What should you do, assuming that you need the remaining 25 percent to complete the project?Partway through the project, your senior management tells you to sacrifice quality to keep costs down to compensate for the corruption. What should you do?

Risk Management/Assessment
Assignment:The following information has been provided on a project opportunity. Your company has a standard risk assessment model (see the framework shown in tabular format below) and it wishes to use this so that a preliminary decision can be made on whether to increase the resource provided for the project and proceed with more detailed preparation. When there is no information provided on the given risk factor for the project, it is customary to assume the maximum risk. Complete the risk assessment and report your total risk score range (e.g., 130-155). Identify risk factors that can be mitigated to some extent by negotiating different terms and conditions with the client so as to bring down the overall risk score. Evaluate your new overall risk score range. (Hint: Use excel spread sheet to calculate the risk score and also state the assumptions under each risk factor for taking that risk score).

Strategic Marketing Plan
This assignment incorporates all you have learned throughout the course and assignments. Create a strategic marketing plan for a company of your choosing (suggest using one of the companies analyzed in competitive analysis assignment – use a particular product / company but it should be your plan not just the company information). (Instructor may request a draft earlier in the semester – will advise Week 1 of the course). This assignment will be done as a PowerPoint with Notes presentation. Moreover, students will be asked to condense the PPT into a five-minute in class presentation Week 7. Specific slides for the presentation are noted on the template found in Course Material – Week 7 entitled Marketing Plan PowerPoint Template. Please note this assignment is therefore due at class time. The presentation will also be included in the final Marketing Plan grade.
The plan must include the following sections:
Executive summary Opportunity assessment – describe the current industry/market situationProduct descriptionGoals – develop the results that must be achieved from the marketing plan you are proposing (not the corporate goals of the company) – use S.M.A.R.T. goals (at least three should be cited). ** make sure you follow the directions on this section.Critical success factors – describe factors which would impact the success of this product and planTarget market – fully describe the target market for this plan (demographics, psychographics, attitudes, geography, emotions, etc.Key messages – develop the key message pyramid – what does the customer want to hear, etc.(instructor handout in Course Material to assist with this section if needed)Marketing and communications tactics – include three different tactics, explain why these were selected, and describe in some detail (2-3 paragraphs per tactic recommended should be included in the note section) how to integrate the campaign elements you are suggesting. The detail is provided in the Note section of the slide. (Provide a summary conclusion to close out the paper).
Charts, graphics and illustrations are encouraged. All facts must have reference citations in the body of the report (See APA guide). This assignment is to be presented as a PowerPoint with NOTES in a high quality, professional level. Remember, the intention of the paper is for you to show your mastery of the marketing planning elements with a specific campaign within an industry. Assignment MUST include:
Cover page slideTable of contentsReference page (at least five references)Presentation
Notes are required to support each slide with references. PowerPoint assignment should be no more than 15 slides in total including the cover page. Points will be deducted if over 15+ slides. For the presentation, condense to eight slides and NO MORE than five minutes in a verbal presentation Week 7. This will encourage and support clarity. Any longer and you will be asked to end the presentation (points lost as well). Organization, flow, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure will all be included as components of the grade. The rubric below will be used to evaluate this assignment. A template for the Marketing Plan PowerPoint will be found in Course Material – Week 7.
For the presentation there are suggested slides on the PowerPoint template to incorporate vs the entire deck. This will provide a way for you to condense the material for the oral presentation. It is not necessary to redo any slide for the presentation, just reduce the number for the time consideration.
