Description
Would you conclude the prison life makes prisoner violent or that prisoners are have innate violent behavior? Why or why not? What would be your recommendations for prisoners?
Explanation & Answer
I would conclude that truly the prison life does make prisoners violent. First of all, the isolation from the normality of freedom deprives them of the society's reality andd it tilts them to a fantasy world that is real-Prison. Second of all, in the prison, it only has one type of gender locked up togehter. So incase the prisoner is let go, after spending some time inside, it may be harder to cope with the other gender freely, hence may easily engage in violent behaviour. Additionally, in the prison, most of the time for one to live in a comfortable manner, one has to become fiercely aggressive, otherwise one may easily succumb to bullying. AT times, there may be torture and it may hinder the perception of an individual towards others. Also, there is the dependency of joining gangs in order to survive-this may mean the gang leader is the one who calls the shot. This dependency may also be so when the inmate eventually gets out among other factors. So yes, I strongly agree that prison life makes inmates violent.
