Regression and Correlation analysis
Use the dependent variable (labeled Y) and one of the independent variables (labeled X1, X2, and X3) in the data file. Select and use one independent variable throughout this analysis. Use Excel to perform the regression and correlation analysis to answer the following.
Generate a scatterplot for the specified dependent variable (Y) and the selected independent variable (X), including the graph of the "best fit" line. Interpret.
Determine the equation of the "best fit" line, which describes the relationship between the dependent variable and the selected independent variable.
Determine the coefficient of correlation. Interpret.
Determine the coefficient of determination. Interpret.
Test the utility of this regression model, represented by a hypothesis test of b=0 using α=0.10. Interpret results, including the p-value.
Based on the findings in steps 1-5, analyze the ability of the independent variable to predict the dependent variable?
Compute the confidence interval for b, using a 95% confidence level. Interpret this interval.
Compute the 99% confidence interval for the dependent variable, for a selected value of the independent variable. Each student can choose a value to use for the independent variable (use same value in the next step). Interpret this interval.
Using the same chosen value for part (8), estimate the 99% prediction interval for the dependent variable. Interpret this interval.
What can be said about the value of the dependent variable for values of the independent variable that are outside the range of the sample values? Explain.
All DeVry University policies are in effect, including the plagiarism policy.

Assignment 2: t Tests in Practice
For this Assignment, you will critically evaluate a scholarly article related to t tests. To prepare for this Assignment:Search for and select a quantitative article specific to your discipline and related to t tests. Help with this task may be found in the Course guide and assignment help linked in this week’s Learning Resources. For this Assignment:Write a 2- to 3-page critique of the article. In your critique, include responses to the following:Why did the authors use this t test?Do you think it’s the most appropriate choice? Why or why not?Did the authors display the data?Do the results stand alone? Why or why not?

FIN 307 Grantham University Principle of Finance Discussion
The firm's self-supporting growth rate is influenced by the firm's capital intensity ratio. The more assets the firm requires to achieve a certain sales level, the lower its sustainable growth rate will be. Many experts argue that it is better for an organization to grow organically or by putting the money back into the business and not taking on debt. Consider your own organization that you currently work for or have worked for in the past. What is their approach to growing the business? How would you advise your company based on what you have learned this week in terms of self-supporting growth?

RSCH 8210 WU Week 8 Testing for Correlation and Bivariate Regression Discussion
To prepare for this Assignment: Review this week’s Learning Resources and media program related to regression and correlation. Using the SPSS software, open the Afrobarometer dataset or the High School Longitudinal Study dataset (whichever you choose) found in the Learning Resources for this week. Based on the dataset you chose, construct a research question that can be answered with a Pearson correlation and bivariate regression. Once you perform your correlation and bivariate regression analysis, review Chapter 11 of the Wagner text to understand how to copy and paste your output into your Word document. How to do the assumptions part of the week 8 assignment? Hello everyone,Part of our assignments includes discussing assumptions. I have noticed that we might need help in this area. To help in the week 8 assignment, I posted a week 8 assignment outline with links for the correlation and regression tests we will be doing this week. In these links, there are at least 4 assumptions described. Since assumptions 4 and greater are beyond this course we will only address assumptions 1, 2, and 3 for the assignment. So for both tests, you can examine your variables to see that they are continuous, ensure that a scatterplot is essentially linear with no significant outliers (we addressed scatterplots in the first assignment). If the plot is not linear or with significant outliers (very far from the line of best fit) then change the variables. (A tip, you can use the same variables for the two tests if you would like to.) For the assignment, you just have to describe these three characteristics in the subsection under assumptions.
Here is a video on correlation and scatter plots to help you with this week's assignment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_PTUOQ4DbYYou will also find attached an example to follow for the week 8 assignment.
