University of Phoenix Week 3 Educational Planning and Placement Checklist
When planning the educational placement for a student with a physical- or health-related disability, there are many factors to consider before the IEP team meets and begins writing the IEP. Among them are accessibility, medical, and technology integration needs that may impact the decisions to be made. The factors to consider will vary from one condition or category to another, so to better prepare for this, you will develop an educational planning and placement checklist for the three categories on which this course is focused.
Refer to the Categories of Disabilities for guidance and examples of conditions or disorders in each category.
Research what factors should be considered when looking at educational placement options, services that may be needed, and supports required in order to be successful in the placement.Create a 2- to 2½-page checklist that identifies and explains 3-5 factors for consideration in each of the following disability categories (for 9-15 total factors):
Orthopedic impairment
Other health impairment
Sensory impairment
Explain your rationale with a brief justification for each factor, and include why it is important for the planning and placement of a student.
Consider the following types of educational needs that students require for each category:
Classroom placement options
Curricular options or content modifications
Adaptations and accommodations
Medical considerations and health care needs
AT option(s)
Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device option(s)
Include references used to gather your information. List your references in APA format.

ENC 1101 Keiser University Wk 1 Personal Goal or Achievement Discussion
Compose, define, describe and organize elements of a narrative. In preparation for your Narrative Essay (due Week Two), you will begin the writing process by exploring an idea (pre-writing), focusing the idea on a single event, creating an outline, and drafting the introduction paragraph. Recommended reading pages 89-92 in Norton Field Guide to Writing with Readings. Complete all three tasks - you must complete all three tasks in order to get full credit for this assignment. Read pp, 331-339 and choose one of the following pre-writing activities: Free writing, Listing, Clustering, Cubing or Questioning. You need to complete the activity. If you choose to handwrite your activity, take a photograph with your phone and attach it along with your submission. This is the only part that may be handwritten. Create an Outline (Follow graphic below) It should be one sentence for each step. This must be typedCompose an introductory paragraph and highlight or underline the main idea. ThIs must be typedOutline Graphic GuideChoose one of the following topics:What personal goal or achievement are you most proud of? Share the story of the moment you reached that goal. What one event brought you closer to your family? Describe that day.Was there an event in your life where you made a mistake or misjudged a situation? Describe how the event occurred and what you learned from it. Background:A narrative should share a larger lesson with the audience beyond simply retelling an event. A strong narrative focuses on a single event or conflict and builds from introduction to body to a resolution. Descriptive language brings the reader into the experience; consider carefully how you describe each scene. Show—don’t tell. Telling informs the reader by stating facts. “She was angry.” Show describes a scene. “She grabbed the wilted flowers and threw them in his face.” Telling repeats a list or series of actions, often without stopping to describe what happened. Showing shares concrete sensory details to capture the scene in which the event takes place.

Identifying Different Induction Fallacies
Instructions:Each of the arguments below commits an induction fallacy. In each case, identify the fallacy you think has been committed, providing a brief explanation for each. I have interviewed people walking around downtown Indianapolis, and the vast majority of people are fairly liberal in their politics. Apparently Indiana is quite a politically liberal state.During a three-day business trip to San Francisco, I saw two different drivers fail to come to a complete stop at a four-way stop sign. Clearly this is a city full of people who cannot drive according to the rules. My neighbor is one of the smartest people I have ever met. She assured me that an earthquake in this area is immanent sometime between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. next Monday, so there will be an earthquake at that time.My son has had four colds so far this winter, and in each case, just before the first sign of symptoms, he was allowed to eat dessert before dinner. Obviously having dessert before dinner is causing these colds. He sometimes behaves very violently when I am around him. I do not know what I am doing that causes him to become so violent. If you do not give me a ride to campus, I might be late for my geography quiz. And if I am late, I probably won’t do well on it. If I don’t do well on it, there is a strong chance I will fail the class, which could mean that I will not graduate on time, and that will make it harder for me to find a job. So if you don’t give me a ride to campus right now, I’ll have a hard time finding a job.The Broncos are going to win the next Super Bowl. Everyone knows they will win.The reason that cancer has not been cured is that cancer researchers, deep down, do not really want to find a cure since that will put them out of a job.College is a total waste of money. Consider the case of Steve Jobs. He went for a while, dropped out, and ended up a multimillionaire. When you slowly put a lit match into water, the fire goes out. Gasoline, like water, is a liquid, so when I slowly put this lit match into it, the fire will go out.Answer the questions in APA format, should be 1 page minimum. Use 1 source to assist you in answering the questions appropriately. Be sure to use in-text citations. Source to use: Moore, B. N., Parker, R. (2017). Critical Thinking, 12th Edition. Critical Thinking and Doing Ethics: Identify the parties and the moral issue, philosophy homework help
Part 1Identify the parties and the moral issue(s) at stake, in the case below. Concentrate on identifying the benefits and burdens that pertain to the parties affected in order to apply the principle of utility.Jake runs a delicatessen in a high-crime section of a large city. After being robbed at gunpoint eight times in the past two years, Jake obtained a pistol permit and bought a pistol. Yesterday a man entered the store brandishing a knife and demanded all the money in the cash register. Jake moved to the cash register as if planning to open it. Then he quickly grabbed the gun hanging under itand, without warning, shot the man six times in the chest.Part 2In this week's module we saw that because motives are not all that relevant according to Consequentialism, it wouldn’t matter who is doing the calculation of benefits and burdens in the assessment of utility. The calculation is purely objective. Indeed, to the utilitarian’s mind, the objectivity of the principle was intended to counterbalance the weight of archaic social customs and religious influences on social polices. Do you agree with the utilitarians that social and religious customs stand in the way of happiness? Briefly explain and defend your view.We also saw this week that Mill's justification for distinguishing higher and lower pleasures relies upon an empirical method of surveying those who have experienced a variety of pleasures, both high and low, and that Mill believed that those with the most varied experiences will agree that higher quality pleasures are well worth the effort (the pleasures of intellectual stimulation, friendship, and civic engagement, etc. were mentioned, as opposed to the satisfaction of only immediate physical pleasures). Mill thought that the weight of human experience allows us to predict that it is “better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied.” My question for you is, do you see any problems or shortcomings that might arise with Mill's preferred method of justification? In this week's module you were asked whether or not you wanted to step up in order to argue in defense of the fool? Provide your answer to that question here, along with your reasons for holding it.
