US History 10

Significant Contributions to American Society during the 20th Century

You need to select an individual from American History during the latter half of the 20th Century (1950-2015) and write a research paper on the contributions they made to society. This can include popular culture, economics, politics, environmental, civil rights and women’s rights. You are not limited to these topics, but it is just a list to generate thought. You must have your individual approved before you proceed with your research. Your question to answer is: How has this person changed/impacted/influenced life in the 20th Century? This impact can be positive or negative.

After you chose your topic question you will work throughout your paper to answer the question. Provide evidence that shows you understand the impact and important of that idea/concept on American society.

It will be first come first serve for choices of who you write your paper on. Details to follow. One person per topic per hour.

You are not writing a biography of this individual’s life. I do not need to know what their favorite color is. I want to know about what they contributed to American Society. Why are we still talking about them? Why should we know about them?  Why should we care?
