Explanation & Answer
Ethics represent the principle of honesty and objectivity, and do not allow results to be artificially skewed. Skepticism represents a "healthy doubt", and prevents the researcher from making any conclusions based upon preconceived notions. Preliminary findings remain questionable until they can be verified conclusively.

UCLan The Gas Industrial Environmental Impact & Conservation Presentation
select a journal article or Environmental Impact Assessment report (EIA report) that relates to the environmental impact assessment of any industrial project such as a construction project, oil and gas industry project, sea port project, petrochemical and refineries projects etc. Then based on the selected article/report, evaluate the project through the EIA process to assess the environmental consequences (positives or negatives) of the selected project. Focus on how to minimize the environmental impacts of the project, and how to ensure the protection and conservation of the environment. Each group is expected to critically evaluate the selected EIA article/report. With the knowledge gained from the class lectures and self-study time, each group should find a way to improve on the given EIA and make recommendation. The evaluation and solutions should be presented using power point for evaluation. The presentation should include the following points; 1. Introduction 2. Screening (project description: Goals, objectives, activities, etc.) 3. Scoping (area of influence: boundary, affected group, environmental issues, etc.) 4. Baseline description (in absence of the project consider different parameters) 5. Impacts (air, soil and water qualities, noise level, wildlife habitats, etc.) 6. Methods of Impact identification ( Ad-hoc, chick list, etc. ) 7. Mitigation and enhancement 8. Analysis of alternatives (location, technology, mitigation, etc.) 9. Environmental management plan (implementation plan for mitigation) 10. Conclusion (include environmental impact statement) 11.
