Moore Career College Disaster Management Response
Public health officials can play a huge part in disaster planning and emergency preparedness.
Analyze disaster response and emergency preparedness:
Identify nursing roles and responsibilities during each phase of disaster management. Consider:
Planning
Preparedness
Response
Recovery
Evaluate your community or state's plan for preparedness and disaster management:
Does it include provisions for each phase of preparedness and disaster planning?
Does it clearly account for community needs?
Does the plan include evidence of thought beyond the written report?
Is there evidence of a record keeping system for resources, treatment, and identification of victims?
Are there redundancies built into the plan should one option fail? Are backup plans in place?
Analyze the plan for addressing mass casualty situations.
Include at least one peer-reviewed and one evidence-based reference, and an APA-formatted reference page.
Format your assignment as ONEof the following:
7- to 10-slide presentation
1- to 2-minute podcast
7- to 10-minute oral presentation
350- to 525-word paper
Legal-sized infographic

Philosophy: Plato's 5 Dialogue Question
My assignment is this:Post a thoughtful response to both of the following questions (your response should be at least two paragraphs in length):1. How could the sort of investigation Socrates suggests make any progress towards an answer when the questioner (Socrates) is ignorant and the respondent (Euthyphro) is now in confusion? Mustn't somebody know something in order for the inquiry to get off the ground or move in the right direction? 2. The dialogue ends with no progress being made — or does it? What positive results (if any) does the Socratic method yield? Do we know any more about piety at the end of the dialogue than we knew at the beginning? So far this is what I have written..1. From what we know of Piety, it is related to religion and justice. What then makes something pious (just)? This is what Socrates wanted to know, and so, he asked Euthyphro to help him understand. The questioning from Socrates's showed that Euthyphro had contradictions in his definitions of what is pious. Socrates simply questioned and brought up flaws in Euthyphro's answers, which Euthyphro then proceded to answer with more contradictions. In the end Socrates was left with no clear definition of “pious” and Euthyphro was shown to be ignorant. This doesn't mean that they did not make any progression. In finding contradictions through questioning, we can say that we are a step closer to finding an answer to what is "piety". We are also introduced to Socrate's method of questioning which helps people think for themselves and be aware of their logic. 2. Unfortunately, we do not have a clear definition of what is pious. We do know that Socrate's method of questioning Euthyphro led to a step by step process known as "Socrates method". The socratic method in the dialogue brought out the inconsistences in Euthypro's answers and made him aware of them. This made Euthyphro think and bring up new ideas, which is a positive aspect to the method. We do not know what piety is but we are a step closer to finding out a universal definition.I am very new to philosophy and its a bit difficult to understand, so I'm not sure if what I wrote makes much sense. If it does make sense, I feel I need to write more but I'm at a blank to what I need to add or write down. Need help understanding, and what else I should be focusing on. Both answers sound similar as well, which makes me doubt my understanding of the questions. Thank you

Mastering Metrics: health insurance
Read Mastering Metrics pages one through five (the last paragraph on page five continues on to page 6 for a few lines) AND also take a look at the Chapter 1 appendix. (This will just be a preview of the Appendix; you don’t have to read the whole Appendix now, but you will be reading it soon.) Pay particular attention to Table 1.1. Answer the following questions. Please don’t try to answer these questions until you’ve actually read all five pages associated with this week’s assignment, and previewed the Appendix. You can either prepare your answers using a word processing program, and upload your answers here in either DOC, DOCX or PDF format, or type your answers directly into the text entry box.1.In Table 1.1, first row, fourth column, the number 4.02 appears. Describe this number. In Table 1.1, first row, fifth column, the number 3.62 appears. Describe this number. In the first row, sixth column of Table 1.1, what does the number 0.39 represent?Does this table contain evidence that health insurance causes people to be healthier? Why or why not?Below the numbers mentioned in questions 1 and 2 above are the numbers 0.92 and 1.01, which appear in square brackets [ ] . What do these numbers measure? (Hint: Read the notes at the bottom of the table; read also page 36 of the Chapter Appendix and note the formula in footnote 16 for a review of these basic statistical concepts.)Below the number mentioned in question 3 above, 0.04 appears in parentheses. What does this number measure? (Hint: Take a look at page 45 of the Chapter Appendix and note the formula in footnote 17. The formula that appears here is important and you'll be returning to it again and again in this course; for now we mainly just want to introduce you to the concept and show you where to find the formulas for when you need to calculate these values yourself.)
