Boston University Time Series in R Composition
This assignment provides practice in decomposing the seasonal time series data and then subtract that effect from the data and then to show how to address issues of correlations between successive values of the time series. Before beginning this assignment, review the learning resources for this module, especially focus on Decomposing Time Series, Forecasting using Exponential Smoothing and ARIMA Models sections of A Little of R for Time Series by Avril Coghlan. Complete the following steps and write a report to record your work, results and analysis. You may use the attached data sets (average price data and NY benchmarked employment data) or one of time series data from data( ). Please note that some time series are more amenable to time series analysis than others. It is important that you understand data structure and be able to appropriately transform/clean raw data prior to analysis. "Average price data.xlsx" is in the long format. The data series are stacked on top of each other. That is how the data is provided the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The names of variables are provided in the "series" worksheet. You need to pick one series name and use it to filter or subset the data prior to analysis. Some series are better than others. You may want to use only the portions of the series after 2009, since the Great Recession was an one-time event that cannot be modeled.A. Decompose seasonal time series data and subtract that effect from the data:
Identify an appropriate time series data set, this can be a data set in R or a data set you find.
Then, use R to display decompose the seasonal time series and seasonally adjust to subtract the seasonal components from the time series.
In your report, provide insights to the results.
B. Address issues of correlations between successive values of the time series:
Identify an appropriate data set, this can be this can be a data set in R or a data set you find.
Then use R time series functions to address autocorrelation issues in data sets. In many cases you can make a better predictive model by taking correlations in the data into account. Address autocorrelation issues (irregular components of the time series) using a technique called ARIMA (Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average) models for irregular components of time series.
In your report, provide insights to the results.
Report Your assignment/project should have a good cover/title page, introduction of what the goals of the project and the methods you use. It also should follow APA format with at least 1000 words (excluding title page and references page) and references page. In the body of your project you should incorporate the R codes and R outputs with interpretation of your results. Finally, you need to make sense of your results to make good points with proper conclusions, to show your understanding of the course material and its application to the dataset. Graphs, figures, charts, tables are very useful to increase visual effects to impress your readers. You also should do your best to give insight and understanding to the project with a good conclusion. Please use subtitles to make your assignment more reader friendly as well.

Article critique, statistics homework help
For this Assignment, you will critically evaluate a scholarly article related to repeated measures ANOVA.
Use the following article for your critical evaluation assignment:A Comparison of Two Methods of Teaching Research to Master of Social Work StudentsAuthor(s): Walsh, Christine Ann; Hewson, JenniferSource: International Journal of Higher Education, v1 n1 p14-21 May 2012. 8 pp.Write a 2- to 3-page critique of the research (critique section of paper). Some of the things you should think about when you critique the study include (do not just write answers to these questions):Why did the authors select repeated measures ANOVA in the research?Do you think this test was the most appropriate choice? Why or why not?Did the authors display the results in a figure or table?Does the results table stand alone? In other words, are you able to interpret the study from it? Why or why not?

University of California Los Angeles Afro Barometer Dataset Analysis
For this Introduction to Quantitative Analysis Assignment, you will explore how to visually display data for optimal use. To prepare for this Assignment: Review this week’s Learning Resources and consider visual displays of data. For additional support, review the Skill Builder: Unit of Analysis and the Skill Builder: Levels of Measurement, which you can find by navigating back to your Blackboard Course Home Page. From there, locate the Skill Builder link in the left navigation pane. Using the SPSS software, open the Afrobarometer dataset or the High School Longitudinal Study dataset (whichever you choose) found in this week’s Learning Resources. From the dataset you chose, choose one categorical and one continuous variable and perform the appropriate visual display for each variable. Once you visually display each variable, review Chapter 11 of the Wagner text to understand how to copy and paste your output into your Word document. For this Assignment: Write a 2- to 3-paragraph analysis of your results and include a copy and paste of the appropriate visual display of the data into your document. Based on the results of your data, provide a brief explanation of what the implications for social change might be. Early in your Assignment, when you relate which dataset you analyzed, please include the mean of the following variables. If you are using the Afrobarometer Dataset, report the mean of Q1 (Age). If you are using the HS Long Survey Dataset, report the mean of X1Par1Edu. Use appropriate APA format. Refer to the APA manual for appropriate citation.

Linear Regression
Using the attached data ("Car Weight and MPG.sav"), compute and interpret the relationship between:Car Weight (“Weight”) and miles per gallon consumed (“CityMPG”)For this regression analysis, state the following:A clear research question appropriate for a linear regression: (e.g., Is X a significant predictor of Y?")Null and research hypotheses that align clearly and neatly with your RQ.Description of the variables used.Your dependent and independent variables. (Clearly explain your rationale as to why which is which.)State the sample size, along with the mean, standard deviation, and range (min & max) for each variable, in a paragraph format. (Do not just include a table, and not talk about it.)State the rationale for applying regression analysis in this investigation using appropriate readings and resources in Module 5. (Please cite specific references.)Findings in an APA format. (This includes the wording of the finding and the tables/figures included.)Use the following link to provide the template: https://www.slideshare.net/plummer48/reporting-a-single-linear-regression-in-apaAlso add a clear interpretation of the R-square value in your finding. See last page: https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/polopoly_fs/1.531434!/file/MASH_simple_linear_regression_SPSS.pdfNote: Even if the p-value in the SPSS output shows ".000," write it out as "p < .001."Write out your regression equation, and state the predicted miles per gallon for cars that weighs 3,000 and 4,000 pounds. (Clearly show the calculations and steps involved.)Include the SPSS output in your appendix.Car Weight and MPG.sav
