Question Description

I’m studying and need help with a question to help me learn.

  1. Describe the sentence handed down in this case.
  2. Indicate whether the victim expressed any comment, or participated in the sentencing process, if that information is available. If the information is not available, speculate on what role the victim might have played in the sentencing process.
  3. Summarize the information that would have been included in the PSI report.
  4. What comes next? If the defendant wishes to appeal the case, which court would get the appeal? What would the defendant have to show in order for the appeal to be granted?
  5. Your analysis: Was justice done in this case? Would you have done anything differently if you were the prosecutor or defense attorney? Do you think the sentence was fair? If you were the judge would you have imposed a different sentence? Explain your thoughts.
