Description
I'm struggling with graphing two equations ... for example 3x + 2y =8 and x -4y =-12
how do i know what number to use for x?
Explanation & Answer
3x + 2y=8
here
y=(8-3x)/2
so start with x=1
y=5/2=2.5
for x=2
y=1
for x=3
y=-1/2= -0.5
and so on for more values of x
scale x axis with 0,1,2,3....
and scale y axis with -1,-2-3,0,1,2,3......
and point on graph according to the value of x and y for example for x =2, y=1 make a dot at (2,1) at the graph and do this procedure for more values of x then joint them all with straight line from one point to other
do this procedure for the other equation as well with same values of x......
