Measures of association quantify relationships between two or more variables. In public health, professionals are concerned with the correlation between disease and behavior or exposure. However, a correlation does not automatically imply that a change in one variable will cause the other variable to change. To determine whether one variable affects another, causation must be established. For this assignment, you will practice calculating relative risk based on real world examples. Relative risk is a measure of association used in epidemiological studies to assess the relationship between disease and exposure.
