explain how information literacy is a set of skills that builds or relies upon an expansion of communication and critical thinking skills. In other words, why are communication and critical thinking concepts needed for good information literacy?

Learning is the process in which both receptivity as well as ability to analyze critically are key aspects. In order to have information literacy one must have the ability to communicate well in order to grasp information clearly without any confusion and also the ability to think critically about the information so that subjective judgments don't become objective information.
