Description
It is better to live long life with some affirmative than shorter life with high quality of life even though life is full of challenges but without challenges and experience in problem solving the world can not grow people learn from the previous experiences from other fellows and improve on then in order to develop. I think there is no right or wrong answers. I would rather live a shorter life with a higher quality of life than live a long life with infirmatives.
Explanation & Answer
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
There is no right or wrong answer to this; it is a matter of preference. Even if you have a serious infirmity, you might still enjoy a long and happy life – look at Stephen Hawkings, for instance. He suffers from motor neurone disease and has been confined to a wheel chair, yet he is enjoying life (I suppose). Also bear in mind that medical advances in the future may find a cure or help to ease your problems. For instance, the speech synthesizer that allows Hawkings to speak was not available twenty years ago. There is also the possibility of brain transplants, genetic modifications and controlling computers by nerve brain signals to carry out what you cannot physically do.
On the other hand, a wonderfully happy life (although very short) might be a good thing: think of the happy days of childhood, which we all recall with fondness.
In the end, it depends on the individuals wants and needs. I personally would prefer a long life, even with some infirmity.
