Question Description
Fire is a serious threat to shrubs in dry climates.
Some shrubs can resprout from their
roots after their tops are destroyed. One study of resprouting took place in a dr

treatment group. A shrub is a success if it resprouts. In the
control group where no shrubs
were torched, 12 shrubs resprouted. In the treatment group where all shrubs were torched, 8
shrubs resprouted. How much does burning reduce the proportion of shrubs in this species
that resprout? Give a 90% confidence inte
