Solution 3 contains 0.15 M C2H4(OH)2. Solution 4 contains 0.20 M (NH4)2SO4. Solution 5 contains 0.25 M KMnO4 (for water Kf= 1.86 oC kg/mol and Kb= 0.51 oC kg/mol).

a. Calculate the boiling point and freezing point of each solution. 

b. Explain the cause of the changes in boiling and freezing point.
