Using concepts of continuous distributions, sampling and sampling distributions, and basic statistics knowledge, answer:

1.  Sampling technique:Pick a sampling technique discussed in the textbook. In your own language, explain the process of applying this method, in what situation it can be used, and its strengths/weaknesses. Give an example of where you can use this method in your work or life: specify the population, sampling technique, and sample.

2.  Imagine that you are the Mayor of Detroit. You have already lost millions of Federal dollars now that your population is counted at fewer than 1 million. The census is counted by enumeration (the actual counting of people). However, statisticians believe that sampling is actually more accurate and typically reveals a higher population figure. What would you say to Census officials about the next census? How should Detroit's population be counted? If you were a Census official, how might you reply?

3.  If your data is skewed, as opposed to normally distributed, how might that affect either the validity or reliability of your study?
