Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Your best bet is to have a survey, possibly sent to people's homes.  The survey could ask the following questions to determine if there's a single mother in the home:

1. What is your sex?

2. Are you married or single?

3. Are there children under the age of 18 living in the house with you?

4. Would you like to participate in a study?

Those types of questions could help you narrow down if there's a single mother at the house.  This would help avoid the blunt question of, "Are you a single mother?".

To find the most amount of single mothers, you can search online for the demographics of certain cities or areas in general.

I'm not sure how much information you would like for this question, but please let me know if you need any more help :)

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
