1.2x+2.2=3.7
1.2x+2.2-2.2=3.7-2.2
1.2x=1.5
Now, we want to get x by itself. It is currently multiplied by 1.2. We do the opposite, and divide by 1.2 (to both sides)
1.2x/1.2=1.5/1.2
x= 1.25
