The ratio 25 to 1 simply means that for every 25 parts of gasoline, there is 1 part of oil

The question requires us to find the amount of oil in gallons to be mixed with 2 gallons of oil.

Solution

25 gallons of gas= 1 gallon of oil

2 gallons of gas= ?

To get the gallons of oil, we do cross multiplication.

Hence we will have: (2*1)/25

=0.08 gallons of Oil
