Description
I'm extremely nervous about the 50 states test coming up next week and I don't think I'm going to past. I have a week to remember all 50 states using any method of studying! I don't feel ready at all, I've only know like 3 states. On my test I would just get a map to label, no word banks.
What I've done is that I've made flash cards with the states' silhouette on them.

Arizona State University Public Health Sector Writers Journal
BackgroundWhile we will explore invention in more depth in the next module, getting some ideas in place now will help you to think about the basic viability of your project.PurposeIn this Writer’s Journal, you will have the opportunity to make some initial notes about your research project with reference to the Project Proposal assignment. Such initial note-taking may help you to see if your current idea is a strong one or if you need to possibly change directions.Skills and OutcomesSummarize the local problem you would like to explore in your Project Proposal and beyond (Rhetorical Knowledge; Critical Thinking, Reading, and Composing; Processes)Explain your project’s exigency and it’s kairotic nature (Rhetorical Knowledge; Critical Thinking, Reading, and Composing; Processes)Classify your project’s audience and stakeholders (Rhetorical Knowledge; Critical Thinking, Reading, and Composing; Processes)Explain your basic research methodology (Rhetorical Knowledge; Critical Thinking, Reading, and Composing; Processes)Critique your chosen project direction (Rhetorical Knowledge; Critical Thinking, Reading, and Composing; Processes)Habits of Mind PracticedOpennessEngagementPersistenceResponsibilityFlexibilityMetacognition Tasks*NOTE: for each of these tasks (except for the final task), just jot some quick notes. At this point, you are mostly concerned with understanding the clarity of your project’s direction and whether that direction is workable. In your journal entry, summarize the problem that you would like to explore. What is the core issue or concern that is giving rise to this line of inquiry for you? What is your current CRQ?Next, explain why your project is exigent (why does this problem need to be addressed now) and why working on it now is kairotic (why might working on this problem now result in positive or impactful consequences). You will also want to hypothesize an audience (who will have the power and inclination to act based on your work) and relevant stakeholders (who might be most directly impacted by your work).Make a provisional methodological hypothesis. In other words, what kind of research do you think you will need to do for this project, and can you do that kind of research? Finally, you will need to critique your initial project’s direction based on how you fulfilled the above tasks. In order to do this, look at the other tasks you have completed. Were there particular tasks that were difficult to complete? Are there elements that give you pause or make you nervous? Do you see places where - at this very early date - you might reconsider your project’s direction?*NOTE: There are many different ways to approach these tasks, but you should aim to be as thorough as possible in your response (approximately 500 words is a good target length).Criteria for SuccessIn each Writer's Journal, you should: clearly address each question or task;employ many details, examples, and explanations in answering each question or task; and, create an internally organized text, employing sentences (or notes where applicable) that clearly relate to one another.
