Description

Traditional behavioral theory would say that a person imitates and learns a behavior because the imitation has been positively reinforced in the past.  Some research suggest that high status models are more likely to be imitated than low status ones.

Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

A social model can be a parent, sibling, cousin , family doctor , teacher or even a friend . This is someone of authority or of high status. A social model can be of positive importance when studying the behavioral theory. A person may encode what they observe and  store it memory for imitation. A parent , for example , can be a writer who spends most of his or her time at home with a child . The child grows up learning and memorizing  the skills of the parent which they later  use in their lives

Siblings who have turned to be successful in their lives can be a great influence on their younger ones .

To my point of view, it is true that behavior can be imitated .
