Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

 x intercept  - 2

y intercept is  2/3

equation form: y=mx +c whereby m is the slope and c is the y intercept

x intercept means the value of x when y is 0. This means that one of the points on the line is (-2,0)

Plugging it in the equation gives

0=m(-2) +2/.3

0=-2m +2/3

2m=2/3

m=(2/3)/2

m=1/3

Slope is 1/3

Equation will then be

y= 1/3x +2/3

Can also be factorized by multiplying by 3 all through to become

3y = x +2
