zygomycota or zygote fungi is a phylum of fungi. They are formed through sexual reproduction of resistant spherical spores. They are mostly found on land living in soil or on decaying plant and animal material. Some are parasites of plants, animals and small insects while others form a symbiotic relationship with plants.

Ascomycota is a phylum of the Kingdom fungi. They are the largest phylum of fungi and have a distinct feature of the "ascus" which is a microscopic sexual structure in which ascospores are formed. Some of the species are asexual.

basidiomycota are filamentous fungi composed of hyphae and reproduce sexually through the formation of specialized club-end shaped cells called basidia that normally bear containing external meiospores. they include mushrooms, puffballs, stinkhorns, mirror yeasts among others. The yeast does not contain hyphae
