Description
Write an essay on the following topic. Your essay should be
three to five double-spaced pages in length.
Research the training, education, experience, and
certification requirements for both the fire suppression
and fire prevention bureau in your department, or in
the nearest large city if your department lacks a separate
prevention bureau. Provide an overview of the
requirements for the two types of positions, and
compare/contrast them.
While less in-depth than a research paper, your essay should
have a formal introduction, a statement of purpose, a body,
and a conclusion. Be sure to credit all sources. The Penn
Foster online library has resources to help you in developing
a bibliography of sources.
You’ll be graded on the detail describing your department’s
fire prevention and fire suppression bureau requirements,
your analysis of the similarities and differences, the facts
supplied to support your analysis, your use of research
resources and proper citations, and the overall quality of
your writing.

print font, size 12. Use a standard document format with
