Short Answer: Important Answers
Review this webpage:https://www.scientificamerican.com/citizen-science...to see what types of citizen science projects are out there and how they lead to new scientific developments. As you read, choose a citizen science project that interests you. What is it about this project that makes it a good candidate for citizen science research? Would you participate in a project like this? Why or why not? This reflection can be used to help inform elements of your Project 3 presentation.Your third and final project in this course is a presentation, and this activity is an opportunity to get comfortable working with presentation software, such as Prezi or PowerPoint. Feel free to use either software, but if you are unfamiliar with either, you may wish to use the PowerPoint Template provided. Create a slide that includes answers to the questions below and any graphics you feel would make the slide more eye-catching. You are required to submit a single slide, but you may create additional slides if you wish. How does understanding the science behind the topic and research you have chosen benefit you? What is the advantage to you, and potentially those around you, of understanding the science behind the issue? How might finding the answer to the specific question you posed in the question development worksheet in Project 2 affect others around you?If you are unfamiliar with creating presentations, use the resources in the 4-2 Presentation Supporting Resources document to learn more before getting started.Once you have completed your slide, upload it here for instructor review. You will answer closely related questions as part of Project 3, and your work in this learning block can be incorporated into your Project 3 presentation. Be sure to keep a record of your response to these questions for use in Project 3.To complete this assignment, review the following documents:https://learn.snhu.edu/d2l/lor/viewer/viewFile.d2l...

MDC Wk 9 Aplastic Anemia Bone Marrow Destruction Radiation Treatment Discussion
Marie Curie was a famous Polish-born French scientist known for her pioneering research on radioactivity. Her work not only brought her fame but her death as well; she developed aplastic anemia due to radiation exposure. She experienced recurrent and prolonged infections (viral, bacterial, parasitic, and fungal). Apart from suffering from recurrent and prolonged infections, Marie Curie also experienced the following signs and symptoms: fatigue, rapid heart rate, pale skin, easy bruising, prolonged bleeding from cuts, and dizziness. Bone marrow transplant was not an option at that time and so blood transfusion was the treatment of choice.[1] Explain why she suffered from recurrent infections. Be sure to mention the different types of WBC and the relation to the various infections, and the reasons why she lacked the cell-mediated and the humoral response.[2] Explain the reason behind the other signs and symptoms that Curie experienced.[3] Assume her blood group was A negative. Which antigens are on her RBCs? Which antibodies are in her plasma? Which blood groups can she receive? Which blood groups can she not receive? Explain why.Be detailed in your explanation and support your answer with facts from your textbook, research, and articles from scholarly journals. In addition, remember to add references in APA format to your posts to avoid plagiarism.2
