A wave packet traveling along a string is described by the following displacement function F(x,t) F(x,t)=A exp(-(kx-ωt)2) where amplitude A=2.0 cm, wave number k=2π m-1 and angular frequency =2π s-1. Sketch the snapshots of the pulse at t=0 and t=5.0 s. Show that F(x,t) satisfies the 1-D wave equation and find the wave speed?
