Description

For our lab experiment, we found out that the velocity and acceleration of an object had the same numerical value. How is that so and what does it mean? For example, the velocity for the object was 0.433 m/s and the acceleration was 0.433 m/s^2.

Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

If initial velocity is .433m/sec and acceleration is .433m/s2 so after 1sec the velocity is

V=u+ft

=.433+.433x1=2x.433=now velocity is double the initial velocity

Now after 2 sec the velocity will be

V=.433+.433x2=3x.433=the velocity is three times the initial velocity

Hence the velocity is increasing by .433m/sec in each second.
