domestic and international terrorism
Question Description
To understand terrorism in the Middle East, we need to appreciate the region's history. Three critical events took place in the late 1800's:
- First, the Ottoman Empire, the Turk-based government that ruled much of the Middle East, was falling apart in the nineteenth century.
- The second critical event came from a polical movement called Zionism from 1896-1906.
- Finally, the European armies engulfed the Middle East from 1914 to 1918, as they fought World War I (White, 2014).
Using a word processing program, answer the following questions in a 1-2 page essay about modern Israel.
- How did misunderstandings develop between Arabs and Jews?
- Why did terrorism become a part of these misunderstandings?
- What role did terrorism play in the creation of Israel?
