(a) Using information from Figure 1a only, estimate the proportions of emissions from (i) gas, (ii) oil and (iii) coal sources relative to total carbon emissions in 1975. (Guideline: one sentence for each source.)
(b) Compare your answers to part (a) to an estimate of the proportions of (i) gas, (ii) oil and (iii) coal sources in 2005. In each case, state whether the proportion has increased, decreased, or remained the same compared with 1975. (Guideline: one or two sentences for each source.)
(c) Using the data from Table 1, calculate the combined global carbon emissions from cement production and gas flaring in 2005 and express this as a percentage of total carbon emissions for the same year. The units used are million tonnes of carbon (Mt C), where 1 tonne = 1000 kg. Give your answer to 3 significant figures
