Question description

If a student receiving Chapter 14 Services demonstrates a need for a School Attendance Improvement Plan the teacher, SPED Supervisor, administrator, WCSD Truancy Officer, and parent will meet to determine if truancy is a manifestation of the child’s disability.  A School Attendance Improvement Plan only requires the development of the plan in an IEP-R if truancy is a manifestation of a student’s disability.  You do not need to wait for an evaluation to develop a SAIP.
