a) Explain in your own words Mendel's law of segregation.
b) Apply the principle of segregation to explain the following scenario: A male black lab dog (BB) is crossed with a chocolate lab female (bb). What do you predict will be the color of their puppies? Why would it be impossible for these two parents to have a litter of puppies showing both black and chocolate coat color?
