Umass PL / SQL Functions Code
A summer camp is using an Oracle database to manage its campers, activities, and which campers are
registered for which activities. Each camper is identified by their unique cid. Each camper will have a
name, an age, and a zip code corresponding to their home address. For each activity the camp offers, it
is identified by a unique aid. It also has a name, a price which is the cost to a camper to register for the
activity, and a capacity for the maximum number of campers allowed to participate in the activity. The
registration table stores which campers have registered for which activities. You are allowed flexibility
on the exact attribute types you use for your schema, given they reasonably match the specification
below (e.g. in terms of number types, string types). Include the schema definition in your submission in
a file called schema.sql. Campers(cid: integer, name: string, age: integer, zipcode: integer) Activities(aid: integer, name: string, price: real, capacity: integer)
Registration(cid: integer, aid: integer)

Research the Model-View-Controller (MVC) layered architectural pattern and the Client-Server architectural pattern.Explain each architectural approach and describe how each is organized (i.e., how they work).Compare and contrast each architectural pattern. What types of systems and application development environments might each be best suited for?Which of the two architectural patterns are best suited for dynamic application development environments characterized by high rates of change? Why?Your analysis should be at least 300 but not more than 500 words.

The rules are simple. The student must create a program that does the following:
1. Create the battleship playing board ( 10 rows represented by letters and 10 columns represented by numbers)
2. Create the battleship pieces and place them on the board in a random pattern (Ship pieces can only be in an vertical or horizontal pattern, can not be at an angle)
3. The ship pieces cannot overlap
4. Hits are represented with an X and misses are represented with a O
5. Game ends
a. Once all the ship pieces have been found
b.Once the user misses 15 times in a row
c. Uses the sentinel command ( -1 for example)
6. The board must be its own class
7. Each ship is its own instance of the class
8. All classes must be in separate files (header and cpp)
